Creed Bratton kissed a girl and he liked it. Not that “The Office” star really gets what that song means or anything, but he did tell MTV News that he’s a big fan of the Katy Perry’s work during a recent trip to the MTV News offices (where he not only did an amazing take on “Jersey Shore” star Pauly D but also reenacted some choice Creed-isms).
“Yeah! I won’t turn it [off] cause it’s pop. It’s really fun. I’m not saying that I really know what it’s all about but it’s just [great] … and I’m signing along. And I used to sing ‘I Am Woman’ a lot back in the day and I had no idea what that was about,” said the actor, who also recently released a folk album called Bounce Back with his band the 3DVB’s. “I just liked the song.”
With Perry about to release her new album Teenage Dream (which features collaborations with Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Snoop Dogg, The-Dream, Benny Blanco, Dr. Luke and Max Martin, among others), could it be that there’s room for a last-minute collabo with Mr. Bratton? It seems he’d be into it! “That’s an interesting, I wouldn’t really think [of that]… we’ll see,” he mused. “It would sound like, ‘I Kissed A Creed And I Wasn’t Really Sure If I Liked It Or Not.’”

The big clock on the wall of the MTV Newsroom says that it’s almost time to put a ribbon on this week’s batch of Newsroom Blog goodness. (Note: There is not actually a big clock on the wall in the MTV Newsroom. Strangely, there aren’t any clocks at all in the MTV Newsroom. Shouldn’t we have that bunch of clocks that tell us what the time is in Tokyo? Mysterious.) Anyway, that means that it’s time to kick your shoes off, eat a rack of spare ribs and cuddle up with the latest episode of “Dr. Who.” But before you do that, make sure you catch up on all the juicy morsels you may have missed on the MTV Newsroom Blog this week.
» Drake debuted a controversial new video this week, but it just gave us pleasant flashbacks to his fantastic role as Jimmy on “Degrassi: The Next Generation.”
» Other video controversy this week: It turns out the filming of Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston’s “Eenie Meenie” was nearly derailed by one uncoordinated dancer.
» During a press conference in Germany, Lady Gaga talked about how much she adored Metallica, which is why we paired her with some of the world’s most savage metal bands, including Slayer and Slipknot.
» Eminem made history this week when his song “Not Afraid” debuted in the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. According to our rankings of the songs that did the same, “Not Afraid” is better than “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” but not quite as good as “Fantasy.”
» Have you made an offer on Kanye West’s house in the Hollywood Hills yet? He’s asking for four million, but we’re thinking of offering him $600. Think he’ll compromise?
» U2 frontman and social activist Bono celebrated a birthday this week, and we commemorated it with the song he wrote for his wife when he forgot her birthday.
» In “American Idol” news, the pool is now down to three, with Crystal Bowersox holding the lead and Lee DeWyze sneaking up from behind.
» If there’s one thing we know Justin Bieber loves, it’s getting his picture taken with famous ladies like Beyoncé and Rihanna.
» Betty White scored big on last weekend’s edition of “Saturday Night Live,” and even the sketches that didn’t make it to air were pretty gut-busting.
» Jay-Z and Eminem announced a pair of unprecedented shows at baseball stadiums, which inspired us to wonder what the rest of the hip-hop world would look like at their hometown parks.
» Finally, just remember that if you happen to see Andy Rooney this weekend, don’t bring up Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber. He’s never heard of them, and would rather talk about Sting instead. Wouldn’t we all?

“A hippo was one gift once. Somebody adopted a hippo in our name. I don’t know [where it is]. I would love to visit it and hang out with it!”
-Teen star Joe Jonas, revealing his pick for the strangest gift a fan has ever given his band the Jonas Brothers. Jonas made the revelation while speaking to “Good Morning America” co-host George Stephanopoulos during a live-via-satellite interview with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, who are all headed out on tour together this summer. (They’ll also be starring in the hotly-anticipated Disney Channel movie “Camp Rock 2.”)
Lovato and Joe are a couple, and they both expressed excitement at the idea that they were going to be able to spend so much time on the road together. But will they be able to balance work and their personal lives? “We don’t know yet! We’re both really excited!” Joe admitted. The recently-married Kevin will also have his lady along with him for the ride.
“She will be there,” Kevin said of his wife Danielle. “It’s great. It’s amazing being with your best friend everyday. It’s so nice to have that relationship there, and beyond that a partnership.”
“Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” is set to premiere in September on the Disney Channel, but the tour will start in July in Dallas, Texas. Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers have a new video for the track “It’s On,” which will make its first appearance on Friday night (May Ǯ) following an episode of the group’s Disney television show “JONAS.” “The video is a really cool concept,” Kevin told MTV News. “It takes on the aspect of the music and just the intensity, the high energy of what the song is. … What’s cool is just the passion of all the people who are singing.”

We have a history. Gael Garcia Bernal and I once shared a kiss at a junket. (An event in my life I’m sure I’ve shared with you numerous times before. But, can you blame me?) So when I was offered the chance to go to Verona (Italy, not New Jersey) to attend the junket for “Letters To Juliet” (which stars Gael and opens today), I couldn’t say no. Aside from the fact that it is an incredibly beautiful city, Gael happens to be the nicest guy in the world.
Aside from the chatter about romance, when we sat down to dish about the flick, I decided I had to know how well he cooks. Why? Well, he plays a very overzealous chef named Victor in the movie. As it turns out, he happens to be a really good actor, as the dude can’t cook in real life at all! “I like cooking, but I’m not good at it,” he said, adding just what his specialty is: “All types of rice.”
After he told me that he’s best at making rice, I wondered if that’s what he would make me if he were to cook me anything in the world. Because come on, rice? “No I’m not trying to tell you that,” he said. “I’m saying the only thing I’m good at is maybe rice. I would, maybe if you come and I cook for you, maybe I’ll try something else. But I don’t know what. I’ll have to think about it where we are. Not so much pressure! I already told you I’m not a good cook.”
To be fair, I would eat anything Gael makes for me, good or bad. So when are you free?
